Zeeland!

As a graduation gift, my parents sent me to Denmark and The Netherlands for about 10 days. This was one of the most fantastic parts of my trip. While staying with my boyfriend's aunt, Helene, at her historic home in Zeeland, Holland, we picked oysters fresh from the ocean, shucked them and ate them. Zeeland is the most serene place. It's beauty feels untouched and the homes truly make you feel as if you've gone back in time. Just looking at the photos makes me want to go back!

**Tree of Life bedroom mural**

I had this idea to create a mural about a year ago. I drew it onto my wall and waited until I figured out how I wanted to paint it. I started with the tree which is very lively and then decided that it's vibrant liveliness came from the earth. I created a sort of psychedelic, fluid and free underground home for the roots of the tree. I invited friends to come over and help me with the mural. They contributed to the earth and my friend Celia painted the woman to the right. We would drink wine, smoke some cigarettes and talk about our lives at the moment. This mural is a symbol of friendship and the sense of peace that art brings me.
It's not quite finished yet - but I think this is an appropriate way to introduce myself and my art. I hope whoever comes across this blog enjoys what I have to share.
